Grizzlies Showcases at Autumn Canton Fair 2024: Building Foodservice Packaging Programs for 2025

The second phase of Autumn Canton Fair 2024 has successfully concluded in Guangzhou. As one of China’s most important international trade platforms, this session brought together global buyers with clearer sourcing goals and stronger demand for reliable, compliance-ready and customizable foodservice packaging.

At this year’s fair, Grizzlies showcased its foodservice packaging solutions for distributors, restaurant supply companies, packaging importers, supermarket buyers and private label customers preparing their 2025 sourcing plans.

From paper food containers and takeaway packaging to disposable tableware, paper cups, paper bowls, food trays and custom printed packaging, Grizzlies presented a practical product portfolio designed for restaurants, catering service, prepared food, takeaway delivery and foodservice distribution.

Global Buyers Came with Clearer 2025 Packaging Plans

Unlike simple catalogue browsing, many conversations at Autumn Canton Fair 2024 were focused on next-year packaging programs. Buyers were not only asking what products were available. They wanted to understand which materials fit their markets, which documents could support their projects, how custom packaging could be developed, and whether factory supply could remain stable for repeat orders.

This change reflected a more professional sourcing mindset. For foodservice packaging buyers, a successful 2025 product range needs to balance several factors at once: food safety, packaging performance, PFAS-free material direction, cost control, carton packing, customization and long-term supply reliability.

Foodservice Packaging Built for Real Applications

During the exhibition, Grizzlies presented packaging options for real foodservice scenarios, including hot meals, cold food, oily dishes, sauces, salads, snacks, takeaway meals and catering orders.

Buyers showed strong interest in packaging that could support daily restaurant operations while maintaining structure, presentation and usability. Discussions covered oil resistance, water resistance, stacking performance, food contact requirements and suitable material choices for different food applications.

For distributors and restaurant supply companies, these details matter because foodservice packaging is not only a container. It directly affects delivery performance, customer experience, product repeatability and brand trust.

Compliance-Ready Materials Became a Key Exhibition Topic

In 2024, packaging buyers paid closer attention to the evidence behind packaging claims. Broad terms such as “eco-friendly” or “sustainable” were no longer enough for serious B2B procurement. Buyers wanted clearer communication around food contact materials, paper sourcing, certification options and safer barrier directions.

At the booth, Grizzlies discussed project-based compliance needs with global customers, including FSC paper sourcing, FDA-related food contact expectations, LFGB-related documents, BPI certification options, OK Compost references and PFAS-free packaging directions.

PFAS-free food packaging became an especially important topic for customers sourcing grease-resistant paper food packaging. In February 2024, the U.S. FDA announced that grease-proofing substances containing PFAS were no longer being sold by manufacturers for food contact use in the U.S. market. This made safer grease-resistant material directions more relevant for buyers of takeaway containers, bowls, trays and other paper-based food packaging products. Supporting Buyers Facing New Packaging Rules

For European buyers, 2024 also brought stronger attention to packaging waste, recyclability and future regulatory requirements. The European Parliament adopted new measures in April 2024 to reduce, reuse and recycle packaging, including requirements that affect packaging design, waste reduction and certain food contact packaging concerns. Against this background, many buyers came to Autumn Canton Fair 2024 with more forward-looking questions. They wanted to know how foodservice packaging programs could be planned for 2025 and beyond, especially when balancing compliance expectations, practical performance and cost control.

Grizzlies used the exhibition to help customers compare material options, packaging structures and custom development directions according to different target markets and foodservice applications.

Customization for Brands, Distributors and Private Label Programs

Custom foodservice packaging was another major focus at the fair. Many customers asked about logo printing, brand colors, artwork development, carton marks, private label packaging, product size selection and packaging range planning.

For professional buyers, custom printed packaging is not only a visual branding tool. It also needs to match food application, market positioning, warehouse handling, transportation, carton packing, MOQ and repeat order schedules.

At Autumn Canton Fair 2024, Grizzlies discussed OEM ODM packaging programs with customers looking to build stronger product lines for restaurants, takeaway channels, catering supply, supermarkets and foodservice distribution.

Reliable Factory Supply for Bulk Foodservice Packaging

As buyers prepared their 2025 sourcing plans, stable supply became just as important as product design. Many customers wanted to discuss realistic lead time, carton packing, container loading, production planning and repeat order stability before moving into sample confirmation or bulk orders.

Grizzlies presented its factory-direct supply capability to support paper food packaging, takeaway food containers, disposable tableware, custom printed packaging and private label programs for global B2B customers.

These discussions helped buyers move from product interest to practical packaging programs, with clearer planning around material selection, compliance documents, customization and bulk supply.

Autumn Canton Fair 2024 Strengthened Global Connections

The 136th Canton Fair recorded a historic level of overseas buyer attendance, with 253,000 overseas buyers from 214 countries and regions attending the session. Official reports also noted that many overseas buyers came with clear sourcing targets and strong willingness to cooperate with Chinese enterprises. Source: Canton Fair official release

For Grizzlies, this exhibition was not only a product display. It was an opportunity to listen to global buyer needs, discuss real sourcing challenges and show how foodservice packaging programs can be built around performance, compliance, customization and reliable supply.
